The virtual immersive room, which we call Care Interactive Room®, is the result of a collaboration between the Zamperla Group and the Rehabilitation Centre Villa Maria in Vicenza, Italy. The cooperative initiative began in 2018 under the technical-scientific coordination of Dr. Roberto Tombolato, and is now being further developed by Z+Health srl.
The main value of the virtual immersive room lies in the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, which could complement social functioning improvement pathways and help people experience – in advance – situations that are potentially stressful in a safe, “practice” environment.
In every moment of life, to think and to move, the body needs a constant supply of energy. Moreover, there are fatigue situations, such as sports performance at various levels, age-related weariness, stress, etc
Since 2019, the Zamperla Group has been involved in the study and experimentation of methods and tools for the HUMANISATION of healthcare environments, with a focus on children’s hospitals.
The humanisation of hospital environments is gaining traction as a field of research and as an intervention to address the healthcare and psycho-emotional needs of both patients and users in general, i.e., visitors, medical and paramedical staff, etc.
